Annual Congregational Meeting
We are holding our Annual Congregational Meeting after the 9.45am service on Sunday 23 November 2025.
We hope you will be able to attend!
Anyone may do so, but only those on the Register of Members may vote on formal matters or stand for election to Church Council.

The Annual Congregational Meeting is fairly informal and provides an opportunity for questions and discussion on church activities.
In addition, our Constitution requires the following matters to be included:
• to receive the Report of the Church Council (the Trustees) on the Charity’s activities
• to review the life and witness of the Charity
• to elect Trustees from among the members
• to receive the Accounts of the Charity for the previous financial year
• to appoint an Independent Examiner for the Charity
• to consider any other business put before it by the Trustees.
Church Council membership:
The Annual Congregational Meeting may elect a maximum of 15 people to the Church Council, for terms of 3 years. At the moment, we have 12 elected people – two of whom are now ending their present 3-year term.
One of the tasks of the Church Council at its next meeting is the co-option of up to 8 additional people to serve on it for 1-year terms (until the end of the next Annual Congregational Meeting).
There are three people who are currently co-opted members of the Church Council.
Will the five members whose terms are ending please let me know as soon as possible whether or not they wish to stand for re-election or for co-option.
We would love to welcome some new people on to the Council to be involved in the decisionmaking of the church. Please let me know if you would like to stand for one of elected vacancies or if you would like to be considered for co-option.
The names of the present members of the Church Council are on display in church, and are available on this website.
Annual Report & Accounts of the Church Council:
A copy of this combined document will be issued to all known email addresses of church members before the Annual Congregational Meeting, after their formal approval by the Church Council. It will also be put on this website. A small number of printed copies will be available in church.
Blessings
Caroline
