The Church of All Saints Church, Berkhamsted

The ancient office of Compline derives its name from a Latin word meaning ‘completion’ (completorium).  It is above all a service of quietness and reflection before rest at the end of the day.

The services on Monday and Tuesday will use the traditional wording.  The service on Wednesday will use a modern form.

We will have a few minutes to talk to one another at 8.45pm before the short service begins at 8.55pm.  The service will end at 9.10pm with silence as we leave.
